Salimata Kouyaté, the daughter of renowned n'goni virtuoso Andra Kouyaté and accomplished singer Mabara Soumano, is a rising star in the world of music, and her debut solo release, "Mali Kelen," is sure to turn heads. Raised in the rich tradition of the Kouyaté griot family, Salimata's natural talent for singing has been honed by her accomplished family members, including her uncle Bassekou Kouyaté, a Grammy-nominated artist from Mali. Her father, Andra Kouyaté, not only composed "Mali Kelen" but also plays with Tiken Jah Fakoly.
